WELCOME
This petite, young woman from Utrecht has a bigger voice than you would expect! She sings mostly old jazz standards, but mixed with easy listening and pop. ‘Sophie Melody’ has her 12th anniversary this year (2023)!
- Mostly she’s singing solo with backing tracks. So now and then she’s walking around while singing (mostly in dining setting). This easy going background music is a great plus for any diner, reception or business meeting.
- Do you want a more intense live experience? She can play with gypsy jazz guitarist Wouter van Dijk. They play together for over eight years now. With a loopstation and a kazoo they know how to entertain. Preference for a pianist? That’s also possible off course.
- A trio (with guitar and piano) and even a combo with a saxofonist is one of the options! Please ask for options!

Sophie Melody has a big repertoire. She sings jazz standards, but also modern jazz from Melody Gardot and Madeleine Peyroux, what she combines with popsongs from Ed Sheeran and Adele.

BIO
Sophie de Hart is born and raised in Zaandam and is 32 years old. She lives in Utrecht already for 13 years now and has a son from 2 years old.
2019 Release first album with Dutch songs. Check them on Spotify. –> 16bis
2018 Hosting cabaret and stand-up evenings for the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival.
2017 Third prize with her cabaret and musictheatre show at the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival.
2016 Performance with Michael Franti at The Hague, Antwerpen and Amsterdam.
2015 – 2016 Actingschool in Arnhem (ArtEZ).
2008 Finals of the televisionprogram Una Voce Particolare with the song A Change In Me from the musical Beauty and the Beast. Check ‘Media’ for video’s.
